Shihan Paul Arel employs bunkai from the kata Gankaku against Sensei Steve Lisauskas at the Finland Summer Camp in June, 2003. For several of the bravest seminar attendees from Finland, Israel and the USA, the beautiful but icy cold lake in the background was the scene for late night kata and self-defense "mizu waza" practice following the traditional Finnish sauna. Sensei Steve Lisauskas defends against Shihan Paul Arel's powerful attack with a confident renraku waza (combination technique) at a private early morning lake-side training session at the 2003 Finland summer camp.
